converging the trail of thought
Updates from the personal front: after all, it has been 11 days since I last updated my blog.
July 22: Hale, Hale, more Hale: The band held a concert at the fountain area of Robinson’s Galleria. A few days before, I already bought 2 cd’s their debut album. After having them sign the inlay and the disc of both albums, I gave one of the albums to someone. Hope that person likes it. I just know it.
July 23: UAAP addiction: I spent the afternoon watching the men’s basketball tournament. I watched it live, even if Ateneo was not scheduled to play on that day. I was that hooked. After watching the game, the office played its own brand of basketball at the Xavier Gym in San Juan. Pulse-pounding, tiring, it sapped me of strength, but at least, it was fun.
Bonus: that was also the day where I finally snagged another phone. I now have 2 mobile numbers.
July 24: More UAAP addiction: Nagawa ko ring yayaing c Omar na manood ng Ateneo game sa Blue Eagle Gym, even though NU yung kalaban, ok lang. We’ll never know what could happen in a game. My treat.
It was held at the house of one of my officemates, where I managed to abuse the DSL connection, hehe, as well as watched some DVD’s. grabe yung “Duda”, alam ko yung film na yun e kasama sa Film Festival for Gays and Lesbians that was held at the Gateway (sossy!). Napanood ko rin yung “Taxi” (Queen Latifah, Jimmy Fallon, Gisele the supermodel), as well as Robots (kaya lang bitin, biglang nag-hang). Merong inuman. TKO nga yung groom. Got home na around 2:30. Pagdating sa bahay, naroon na yung PC. After it seemed to be an eternity, it’s back up again.
Anyhow, managed to flaunt the phone sa mga Gabayano.
July 29: Fix-er Upper: with the assistance of an old friend, I decided to improve on the quality of the PC, by purchasing a new keyboard and an internet card. I also purchased a NBA Live 2005 cd. The not-so-good thing, the crack won’t install. Oh, I forgot, it was my officemate’s wedding. However, the guest list was very restricted. Even if it were not limited, I would have not come. I dunno, basta ganoon.
July 30: 2nd week for the pick-up games. Sa grupo namin, ako lang and dumating, but at least, I managed to play hard, even though I had back-to-back bad offensive nights. I know I played much better this week. Before that, I cheered the heck! We beat UP. Great game by JC “Baby Rocket” Intal. Doug, too. The next game saw a massacre by the UE Red Warriors on the hapless Adamson Soaring Falcons (more like Grounded, to me).
July 31: Pina-ayos ulet ang PC ko. Minor chinks addressed. Plus, finally, Internet access finally underway. I don’t have to spend that much outside. The bad thing, the technician told me that the this PC is a Pentium 2. opo, Pentium 2. I am still in the Dark Ages. Must upgrade. Also, had the NBA Live 2005 crack issue resolved, but still no avail. I still cannot copy the crack. Happy Ignatius’ Day!
So far, things are all right. Work is fine, although I have been getting sloppy lately in getting there by 6am. Personally, I still have to deal with personal demons and lovelife conundrums. Other than that, I am fine. The matters of the heart are almost killing me.
Haaay!
