this is how the story goes... Wednesday (8/15): i packed my stuff into my fitness first backpack and arrived at the office at around lunch time. i visited my old department (who thought of me as a pest and shooed me away). i met up with laurence at galleria (bacolod inasal) and then moved on to meet saradel and gj (del's boyfriend) at SM supermarket in makati. we bought our MSG (noodles and crackers) supplies. took a bus and a cab to the airport and i am finally off to the Crown Colony. arriving there, we took a bus (and another cab) to the hostel @ tsim tsa tsui (tama ba?) the stay there cost us only around $225. it was kinda tiring, but all good. Thursday (8/16): this is ocean park day. took the train to hong kong island and then by bus to the station. it was my 2nd time there. a lot of new things, but it was so good. even if it rained hard that i was kinda soaked. foggy dun sa tower... after drying ourselves at the hostel, we went around the block and checked out what was nearby... Friday (8/17): i dub this Hong Kong Disneyland day... good thing the weather cooperated and allowed us to pretty much go around... ok naman, kahit na tiring and all... we visited the night market at mong kok, where the goods are pretty much the same. Saturday (8/18): before departing, we visited the giant Buddha statue and the nearby monastery at Lantau (where the Chep Lak Kok airport is located). the steps there are a work-out... :) we then proceeded to the airport then... i had a later flight (9:55) but my friends were on an earlier flight (7:40). unfortunately for them, they missed their flight as we arrived at a time where it was too late to enter the check-in area. as for me, i still have a lot of time to spare. my flight was delayed though due to weather. waiting there at the boarding area made me chummy with some of my fellow passengers. i departed at around 1130 and arrived home before 2am. i stayed first at the office to get some z's before finally getting home at lunch time. tidbits: for me, di sulit disneyland. mas enjoy ang ocean park... a lot of people with indian descent were there... and they have that kind of smell... mejo mahal mga stuff dun... :) thanks to everybody who made this possible.Monday, August 20, 2007
Post-Script of the hong kong sojourn...
